Fiona Murphy

Fiona Murphy is a corporate reputation and communications expert with Edelman, a global public relations firm. Experienced in a range of industry sectors, she leads on integrated communications for international clients from strategic planning, presentation and media training, crisis management, and employee engagement communications. 

An advocate for classical music and opera in Ireland, Fiona has enjoyed a successful international operatic career, prior to entering public relations. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, she sang in leading roles at several international opera houses and in concert with renowned orchestras throughout the world, including Houston Grand Opera, Opera Company of Philadelphia, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera. She has performed at the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Centre, the Barbican, and represented Ireland in international singing competitions including Operalia and the Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition. At home, she frequently sang with RTÉ’s Symphony and Concert orchestras and with all the Irish opera companies, throughout her career. 

Fiona holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from University College Dublin, a Master Degree in Music from the Curtis Institute of Music (University of Pennsylvania), a Diploma in Public Relations from the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) and is a member of the PRII and has earned a Public Relations Consultants Association award for excellence in public relations. She is currently a student of law at the Honorable Society of King’s Inns, Ireland, and sits on the Edelman Ireland Diversity Equity and Inclusion Council.
